In 2006, the first Tulsa Educare school opened its doors with a bold promise: to put every child’s potential first. Founded by the George Kaiser Family Foundation, Tulsa Educare set out to bring to life what research shows—that high-quality early childhood education helps children thrive and ensures that a young child’s family income does not determine their life success—right here in Tulsa.
Twenty years later, that promise has become a reality. A rigorous, published study shows the transformative impact of Tulsa Educare on children’s learning and development. And now, we’ve expanded our reach: operating four exemplary schools, offering community programs that support children beyond our classrooms, and influencing the broader early learning system.
Tulsa Educare’s growth has been intentional and community-centered. Today, we have a dedicated team of approximately 300 caring professionals serving about 810 children and their families across our schools and child care partners and supporting over 120 licensed child care providers throughout our community. As experts in early childhood development, we deliver high-quality early learning and comprehensive services that promote child and family well-being and lay the foundation for lifelong success.
Our work is made possible by the support of funders, partner organizations, friends, colleagues, and parents. Your generosity and partnership help create a world where a young child’s family income, race, and adverse experiences do not predict their life success.
